Baby and Toddler Group Afternoons

Our group meets on Tuesday afternoons (4:15 – 5:45 pm) run by our new group leaders Robin and Gosia and welcomes children up to 3 years of age!

The focus of the group is to have fun whilst improving skills in areas such as language skills, hand-eye coordination, shape recognition and motor skills. We try to offer a structured environment and supportive atmosphere not only for group activities but also for when the children do things on their own. Naturally, due to the children’s age, we leave room to do as much of an activity as they like and parents are asked to help where their children need it.

Each session starts off with an informal play time where we dance, work out or play other active games. We then do some form of – often seasonal – activity. For example, making Easter bunny nests or snowmen pictures, printing letter paper, making and painting salt-dough objects, threading beads and much more.

On nice days we might use the playground or take a walk into the nearby park to watch how the seasons change. After this activity has finished we have a little drink and a snack that parents are asked to bring along. Usually, we then listen to a story one of the parents reads to us and sing some of our favorite songs.

The group meets at Heinrichstraße 33 in Darmstadt.

Anyone interested in stopping by should first contact the group rep to confirm when we will be meeting next.
